08 Sep What to take?
Time is getting short. The crush is on. Janet is sewing non stop on the new flybridge tarps. It’s probably going to get a little cool and it will be very nice to have new windows to hide from the elements while on the Great Lakes.
So in an effort to stay out of her way, I have been concentrating on filling the 6×8′ ‘basement’ with all the stuff we might possibly need in the next year or so.
My Son Corey made the trip from Toronto for the weekend and I have been keeping him busy crawling around in the bowels of Nautoncall making room for tools and supplies. He and I took some time this afternoon to take stock of all the tools, parts and maintenance items we’ll need over the next year.
Many projects didn’t get finished after I broke the leg, but most of the supplies and parts were already purchased so they will go into hold until the Captain gets to them.
I think I just need someone to drive my truck from home to come visit us in Chicago. They can bring all the stuff we forgot and trade it out for all the stuff we realize we didn’t really need.
4 days to go, wish me luck!
