06 Jan Days 94 thru 116 Home for the Holidays
Our Christmas break was a very busy one. This was the first year in many that I was Nautoncall for the Holidays. It was nice to not worry about the CN Grinch ruining my Christmas plans.
I got to spend some time with my Mom.
Some chores needed attention and the weather was nice enough to rake the leaves that didn’t get picked up in the fall.
Mom loves to “Stir the pot”.
While we were away a tree fell by my dock. We couldn’t cut it up, but, with a little help from my kids, we got the dock secured for winter.
I said “What kind of an Idiot would leave a yacht in Florida to go play around in a canoe in the ice in Canada?”
I had a nice beach walk with my sister and nieces.
The high water levels in the Great Lakes and the fall storms are definitely taking a toll on the shoreline.
We had three family Christmas gatherings.
One included another beach walk on “Sue Beach”
I got some nice scotch for Christmas.
We used it to ring in the New Year!
I also got some exercise, Shoveling snow…
Pretty glad to leave that one home., walking on the beach is a much nicer way to get your steps in.
It was awesome to reconnect with family and friends to celebrate the Holidays and share stories of our adventures.
Three weeks flew by and before we knew it, it was time to fly back to Nautoncall and get ready to continue on looping.
