Day 14 – Still in Frankfort

I was hoping to travel even a short while today as the winds were supposed to be from the South. We can handle more wind when we are heading straight into it. However when we woke and checked the Windfinder, it was showing 20 knots of wind and thunder showers, so I rolled over and went back to sleep. When I did rise the rain had arrived and the winds were all over the place. There are a couple of boats at anchor in the bay and every time I looked out they were facing a different direction.

So instead it became a work day. First I cleaned up my emails and deleted a s*** load of files. All the CN and union stuff got the bum’s rush. Don’t need that anymore. Then I replaced the plug in the Master stateroom with a GFI receptacle and wired in a 12V fan. Both jobs have been on my todo list since I bought the boat.

After work we had a few cocktails with the neighbours and decided we deserved dinner out so we were off to the Villa Marine bar for drinks and dinner. Then back to Nautoncall for a nightcap.

Hopefully we can move tomorrow. It looks like there are quite a few loopers in the same boat so to speak. I’m sure everybody is frustrated with the winds.
